Equipment P20-SB
MODIFIED HITACHI PLANER: Introduced in 1988 as a very inexpensive, updated model the P20-SB quickly became our best seller. With a 1/4 " wider blade than the Skil 100 yet 43% lighter and only 11 3/4 " long this planer is a very unique tool for the shaper. The main modification is a blade adjustment unit which we attempted to make as close as possible to the Skil 100. The only other modification is the base plates are filled and ground for shaping foam. As of mid-1991, long lasting carbide blades are an available option. Note that the 1993 change in model number was accompanied by only minor, insignificant changes in design. F-20A/P20-SB EXHAUST ATTACHMENT KIT: Introduced in late 1990 at a cost of $17.00, this is an optional exhaust/vacuum attachment for the P20-SB planer, which can either be used with or without a separate vacuum unit. Without a vacuum, it is simply a chip "re-director". With a vacuum, it can really be helpful in reducing the dust in your shaping environment. MODIFIED HITACHI PLANER "PRO-MODEL": Introduced
in 1993, the P20-SB modified Hitachi "Pro Model" planer, equipped with
high quality sealed bearings will provide excellent service and longer
bearing life. This planer is ideal for above average use. Introductory
